Variable Tuition Grants
Lighthouse Christian School is committed to providing an accessible, high-quality education built on a Biblical worldview. We recognize not only the importance of a Christian education, but also the investment families make to secure that priceless gift for their children.
Our variable tuition program provides customized tuition rates for qualifying students in grades K-8 for whom the full cost of education may otherwise be prohibitive. It is a needs-based system that provides tuition grants that adjust the total tuition cost based on the unique financial situation of each qualifying family that applies. It is not a “one-size-fits-all” tuition approach. Grants range from 5%-55% of the full annual tuition rate.
>> For more information, please visit our Variable Tuition web page.
Discretionary Student Support Fund
Lighthouse has a donor-funded Discretionary Student Support Fund that offers financial support outside of tuition assistance. Through this fund, we offer one-time grants to help support participation in events and activities, or general support for learning needs, throughout the school year. This can include things like program (i.e., band) or athletic fees, The Learning Center tutoring costs, field trips, retreats, mission trips, or other school activities that may otherwise be cost prohibitive. Parents may submit up to one request per student per school year.
>> To apply for support, families can submit an application here.
Continuous Enrollment
Continuous enrollment for current students occurs in January for the following school year. Current Lighthouse students in K-7th grade will automatically be enrolled for the next school year. This process, called continuous enrollment, begins in January and ends on February 28 each year.
Key Dates:
- February 1-28: Continuous enrollment window for current LCS students (K-7th grade).
- February 28: Deadline for submission of the withdrawal notification form for the next school year without incurring the non-refundable continuous enrollment fee. See the ‘Withdrawal Policy’ section below for details on notification deadlines and potential associated withdrawal fees.
- March 1: Continuous enrollment fees ($250 per student) will be invoiced to each family's FACTS account.
- March 15: Continuous enrollment fees will auto-draft from each family's FACTS account.
Withdrawal Policy
Lighthouse bases its annual operating budget and financial plans on the expectation that students will attend for the entire school year. However, we understand that circumstances may change unexpectedly, causing families/students to leave before the start or end of the school year. If families withdraw outside our continuous enrollment window, tuition charges and fees may apply based on the time of year.
>> To officially withdraw from Lighthouse, families must complete the online Notice of Withdrawal form.
