Christ-Centered Education
Lighthouse Christian School exists to glorify God by providing quality, Christ-centered education that will nurture students to become spiritually minded, academically versed, socially balanced, and equipped to make a positive impact in their community to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our faculty and staff are spiritually mature believers who are passionate about fostering faith and spiritual growth in all students.
The foundation of faith laid during elementary years continues as students grow and mature throughout middle school. Our elementary program seeks to demonstrate the harmony between Biblical truth and academic subjects, nurturing our students to think and live from a Biblical worldview. Middle school students participate in daily Bible classes, where they learn to know and love God more fully, explore the Bible, grow their faith, and learn how to apply Biblical principles to their daily lives.
Weekly Chapel
Chapel is a weekly highlight at Lighthouse! Students enjoy a lively, heartfelt time of singing and worship, followed by a message and prayer.
Our chapel theme this year is "Growing Strong in the Faith". Our theme verse is found in 1 Timothy 4:8, "Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits for this life and the life to come." We are looking at spiritual disciplines Christians have used throughout the past 2,000 years that have helped people grow strong in their faith.
Lighthouse's Campus Pastor, youth pastors from local churches, Lighthouse employees, and special guest speakers and performers teach our students about understanding Scripture and sharing the reality of their faith in Jesus Christ.
Special chapels and programs are also held throughout the school year, including all-school chapels, student dramas and presentations, Veterans Day, Christmas, Easter, and other special days to give opportunities for the entire student body to gather to worship and learn more about God together.
Missional Outreach
In addition to Bible lessons and weekly chapels, students develop hearts for missional outreach as they participate in classroom and school-wide opportunities to serve others in our school, local, and global communities.
