ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Consistently High Achievement
Year after year, Lighthouse diligently prepares our students for success as they consistently score in the top 20th percentile on the Stanford Achievement Test in math and reading.(Click for 2009-2010 test results PDF.)While Lighthouse focuses on rigorous academics, events to enhance creativity are an important part of the learning process. Students in 3rd-8th grade participate in local and regional competitions sponsored by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Field trips include adventures to Pioneer Farms, the Seattle Aquarium, and the Pacific Science Center. In the 8th grade, students work year-round to help earn their way for a five-day trip to Washington D.C where they experience firsthand the history of our country.
Preparing our students for success in high school – and beyond – is a top priority at Lighthouse. The ability to achieve great things depends upon strong leadership and key life skills. Whether it is in careers, families, communities, or volunteer efforts, the foundation gained at Lighthouse will prepare students to make a significant impact.
