ANNUAL FUND "QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE" PLEDGE

Annual enrollment pledge campaign is LCS' most important non-tuition revenue source

While tuition is intentionally set below our operating costs each year to make an LCS education accessible to more families, it is through Annual Fund giving and fundraising efforts that operating needs are achieved.

The gap per student for 2009-2010, is – once again- nearly $600. The enrollment pledge campaign jump starts the fundraising effort for the Annual Fund each year, allowing adequate time for planning before the beginning of the following school year. This is the most important source of revenue for Lighthouse over and above tuition. While pledges are committed at enrollment time, fulfillment is not required until March 1. The timing provides a specific auction revneue goal and brings the school closer to a balanced budget.

While the financial situation is different for each family, our goal is to have 100 percent participation in the 2009-20010 Annual Fund. Gifts of all sizes are necessary and appreciated as we work together to achieve our operating need.
